Responsible for Processing and transmission of Images to PACS.
The Registered Nurse is directly responsible for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her Telemetry assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
The Staff RN is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. He / She will communicate with the physician about the changes in the patients’ clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The staff RN recognizes life threatening situation/ changes in conditions and/or responses to treatment quickly and accurately responds. The Staff RN maintains accurate and relevant record of all patient care. The Staff RN is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies. The Staff RN actively participating in cost containment and assisting in accurate charging for patient services.
The Clinical Supervisor supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the unit assigned.
- Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations.
- Prepares, conducts and/or oversees department(s) orientation and training of personnel.
- Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
- Responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift.
- Assists the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment, and staff.
- Ensure the efficient functions of the department.
- Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope practice.
- Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
