The Bio-Med Buyer II primary function is to develop and lead category sourcing projects and assist with daily needs of a given category spend. The Field Service Tech I – Biomed provides medical equipment services under supervision of BSI management. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, performing preventive maintenance inspections, installation support, testing, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance on hospital equipment such as; maintenance support on general medical equipment, as needed. Collaborates and maintains positive relationships with customers and hospital staff & Administration. The Specialist, Cash Applications is the lead responsible for posting all incoming payments to correct patient accounts on a daily basis. Inputs and retrieves data from computer systems. Reconciles accounts daily. Applies payments to patient accounts accurately and efficiently. Ability to communicate with school age, adolescent, young adult, middle adult to older adults. Full-Time, Days    The Monitor Tech is an unlicensed person who performs indirect care in the department setting. Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors. Facilitates the communication needs of the department. Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system. Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done. Prepares and complies records in the ICU. Orders supplies for the unit and prepares and completes each patient's chart for necessary forms needed on a daily basis. Able to assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring. ICU only: May provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients under the direct supervision of the RN within scope of Certified Nursing Assistant if 1) possesses active CNA certification; 2) demonstrates annual competency in CNA duties and skills and 3) is relieved of Monitor Technician duties during the time of assisting the RN.

Here are some qualities we're looking for on our Surgery team: - responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults - coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist - directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing - works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and with co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization - responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures - responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services - acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate

The centralized scheduler is directly accountable to the Admitting Leadership the Centralized Scheduler routinely schedules tests/procedure cases for all patients where services occur as a scheduled event. This may include, but is not limited to; Clinic visits, Surgery, G.I. Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Nutritional Services, Infusion units or any other location where scheduling of a test or procedure may occur. Coordinates with departments as necessary. Ensures that accurate, complete and thorough patient demographics are entered into the computer system, including insurance and authorizations if applicable. Notifies departments as necessary of various services that may require, equipment, instrumentation and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled surgeries. Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on call list to appropriate departments or personnel.

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Each individual performs only those waived, moderate, or highly complex tests authorized by CLIA, Bus. & Prof. Code Section 1204, and must possess a degree of skill commensurate with individual’s education, training or experience and technical abilities. This individual: 1) functions as the department Section Supervisor or Lead, responsible for supervising the daily operation of the section(s), 2) provides consultative services to the medical staff in the capacity of Technical Consultant, 3) oversees the section/department performance improvement program and participates in hospital interdisciplinary performance improvement initiatives, 4) is responsible for the technical and fiscal management of the section(s), 5) oversees the section(s) quality management/assurance program, 6) ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, 7) assesses staff competency and completes performance evaluations in a timely manner,8)  ensures the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting, 9) develops, maintains and updates section policy and procedure manuals, 10) reviews quality control performance ensuring documentation of corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications, 11) identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and either correct the problem or immediately notify the, Director, or Medical Director, 12) performs a wide variety of laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment using both manual and automated methods in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and any other discipline as introduced into the laboratory, 13) ensures the performance and documentation of equipment maintenance – daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed, 14) recognizes age specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics, 15) ensures that the testing of proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples and that collaboration with other laboratories is prohibited prior to the reporting of proficiency testing results to the appropriate agencies, 16) ensures the currency of all laboratory policies and procedures, 17) adheres to all department and hospital policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and human resources, 18) may be assigned responsibilities related to LIS and/or POC. 19) other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director.

Responsible for the coordination of the various activities of the Case Management Department under the direction of the assigned Case Manager/Social Worker assist with development and implementations of discharge plans. Assists with case management referrals and authorizations. Maintains and coordinates Medicaid state submission forms for presentation to on-site reviewer and files them accordingly or as per facility’s procedure.  Assists with Discharge Planning as assigned by interviewing patients/families and gathering data to develop a safe patient-focused Discharge Plan.

Each individual performing the above procedures must:   1) adhere to the laboratory’s procedures for the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results. 2) follow the laboratory’s established quality control policies and procedures in documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications. 3) be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance and either correct the problem or immediately notify your immediate supervisor, Director, or Medical Director, 4) perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment using both manual and automated methods in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and any other discipline as introduced into the laboratory, 5) perform and document maintenance; daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed on instruments and equipment as appropriate, 6)  review the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting, 7) recognize age specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics, 8) ensure that the testing of proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples and that collaboration with other laboratories is prohibited prior to the reporting of proficiency testing results to the appropriate agencies, 9) may be required to perform venipuncture or capillary puncture on various age groups from newborn to geriatrics, 10) assist in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures, 11) adheres to all department and hospital policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and human resources, 12) in the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead Tech, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift, 13) may be assigned responsibilities related to LIS and/or POC. 14) other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director.

The CT Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality images. The CT Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
